Keeping it Simple

Hi there! I was talking to this girl at a brewery last weekend wearing a fabulous romper mind you and we got to talking about clothes. Living in a big city equals less closet space (and to be honest less spending money), which got me thinking how my closet has evolved depending on where I live. Verdict: learning what items are worth the money and closet spaces verse what simple items can go a long way.

My advise spend your money on pants that fit you perfectly and are a great quality. Jeans, Chinos, jogger, or shorts! Also shoes are normally worth the money too! Ladies Everlane makes awesome pants! If you are wanting to branch out from jeans I strongly recommend.

The White Tee.

It’s glorious and so easy. Shop my favorite one here. A ribbed version is also a great way to mix up your collection. Shop my favorite here!

A White Button Up:

Mix and match this classic with colored wide leg pants or skinny jeans. Add your personal style to the look with your shoes and accessories! Like colored hoops, chunky sandals, or a colored tote.

Blouses aren’t very practical for a small wardrobe. To be honest look at your blouses and you will be surprised if you can even remember the last time you wore them! I still keep a few to mix it up for work but I can tell you all my tees get a lot more use. The blazer and tee trend really has me inspired right now.

Layer under a bold jacket.

Lots of bold print jackets are on the marker right now and they are great for a working girls wardrobe. Paired with a simple tee equals a no fuss outfit.

Even wear with work our clothes for a Hike.

If white isn’t your color go for black, pink, grey whatever but it is a great way to simplify your wardrobe.

Pink Bomber Jacket

I was looking for a picture to post on Instagram today and I realized I wear my pink bomber jacket like a lot… Which Inspired me to write a post based on the many, many ways you can wear a PINK (or colored) Bomber Jacket!

Look #1 EVERYDAY: worn with boyfriend jeans and a tight top. Bomber jackets tend to be more of a cropped look and boyfriend jeans tend to sit on the hips. The combo works!

Boyfriend jean take two! Add a belt and a glass of wine.

One of the great things about a bomber jacket is it also makes a good wind breaker. So wear a cute top underneath if you need to shed a layer. Look for a almost workout looking material and quality zippers.

Look #2 wear it with WORKOUT gear

This look is perfect for a busy Saturday running to a workout class than to a patio to enjoying a beer in the sun! A bomber is a great piece to wear over top to dress up your sweaty look. Tip! Wear or pack a pair of casual shoes like Adidas to change into. Don’t forget to pack a pair of fresh no-show socks. My favorite brand to buy is Vans.

Shopping Guide:

(Shop look #1, #2, and #3)

(Shop look #1, #2, and #3)

My personal Favorite under $100 is number #3 and for over $100 #2!

Look #3 silk JOGGERS with a matching side strip. Keep the under layer simple. White, black or grey tee. Casual sneakers. I love a good pair of Golden Goose sneakers. If you really want to go all into the look add a fanny pack! Nothing like holding a mimosa for Sunday brunch hands free baby!

Thanks for reading! I’ve haven’t posted in a bit, but starting two new jobs has kept me busy!! I want to get back into it and plan on doing one-two post a month and weekly Instagram inspiration.

Get Wide Or Get Lost

Get Wide Or Get Lost

Hi, wait don’t get lost just yet! Do you own a pair of wide-leg pants/jeans? I’m a proud owner of two pairs of pants and one pair of jeans. I was skeptical to purchase the second pair of pants because what if this is just a trend that is about done with?

Nah! I think wide leg pants are here to stay. I had women always asking me while I was at Madewell if I think the trend was staying around and if it is worth the money to buy a pair. Wide leg pants are so flattering and perfect to wear to work opposed to a tradition skinny work pant. When I first purchase a pair of wide-leg pants I thought I had to wear them with heels and only girls with more height could wear them with flat shoes. As I became more comfortable wear a non-skinny jean I started experimenting with a flat shoes. The Key is to make sure the pants hits above your ankle. If it doesn’t look for a petite size option or get the pants hemmed!

With the popularity of the style, you can really pick a pair that reflects your personal taste.

What to look for when shopping:

Back pockets! It’s a balancing act. Look for a larger pocket.

Stretch. You want enough stretch to sit but not too much that the pants stretched out on you. Try sitting in the dressing room.

Color! Olive is a popular color for spring and great to wear into the office. A striped pair will look cute in summer with a white baby doll tee.

Weekly Favorites

Weekly Favorites

Every week here on The Style Paige a segment called Weekly Favorites (or something more creative and cute once I think of it) will be posted. Basically it is anything and everything worth sharing! Podcasts, books, food, fashion, celebrity new, and so on. First up on the list a podcast.

Read more about the podcast here

You can listen to this podcast on the app on your phone called Podcast! I have been listen to this particular podcast for about 2 years now. This episode tells a beauty story about a French women who didn’t stick to what society told her she needed to be. It is in French so you have to listen to it told by the translators unless you speak French, which I do not! Wish I did…

Spring is around the corner even though the freezing temps outside say other wise… Anyways I personally love to buy a few key pieces to refresh my sweater filled wardrobe. This romper is for sure on the list! Favorite places to shop for affordable spring items include Zara, Madewell, H&M, and Free People.

Watch on Hulu.

OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW. You can stream the entire first season on Hulu. Second season begins on April 7th. There are only 8 episodes in season one so don’t watch them too fast like I did. Killing Eve is one for the books between the fashion and suspense it will for sure be one of your new favorites. Not going to lie I have a girl crush on Jodie Comer now.

I have been using this backpack for almost a year now and I’m still obsessed. It so convenient especially if you live in a city. What you can often find me carrying in my backpack: laptop, wine, pickles, jackets, and normal purse stuff. It’s the kind of bag that looks better with age. When shopping for a backpack make sure to buy good quality leather.

After asking many people and looking through Instagram I finally decided to purchase this highlighter. I like it because it goes on nicely and also makes a nice eye shadow. Highlighter is my jam right now. If you have a highlighter you just love tell me in the comments! A girl can never have too many highlighters. Now I just need a brush but don’t want to pay $32….
